Stars at Apanui

Please be sure to mark the 7th July in your calendars. This will be the Stars at Apanui Talent show. This event will be held at the Liberty Centre from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Gold coin entry.

See our young people sing their hearts out, live the dream and wow you with their talent and giftings.

See the School choir sing some tunes from the recent concert Kids 4 Kids.

Be wowed by the cultural delights of the School Kapa Haka.

A night NOT to be missed.

"Yo yo mama Africa, yo yo"

The children were treated to a session on African Dance from Ghana. This was part of the EBOP Schools Art Expo being held at the Whakatane War Memorial Hall between 13th June and 17th June.

Big thanks to 'Ra' for her advice, teaching and stories of the tribal celbrations of African dancing.

Homework for Week 6

I have decided to let our children off their homework this week. We have just come out of a busy month and I feel that the children need a break, It is a long term AGAIN afterall. Please encourage them to read regularly this week.

Thanks parents for your support with this.

The dreaded lice outbreak...

There has been ANOTHER outbreak of headlice, nits, cooties in the class.
Please check your children for lice and have them treated. I would like to also advise
that there are some really good products out there in your local pharmacy to deal to these little
critters. Shaving ALL the hair off is not always the only option. (Especially as we are experiencing some colder weather).

These little monsters can be a real problem, so please check your childs head. If they are itching 'hard-out' then it could be that they have them.
