NYLD//11

Yesterday, we took a group of 12 young Apanui leaders to Rotorua for the annual 'National Young Leaders Day 2011'.

This event is designed to uplift, upskill and inspire our young people into embracing their leadership potential within their school and themselves. It consist of prominent and celebrity speakers giving testimonies of their own rise to leadership. The children are talked to about how to deal with difficulty and opposition.

As Mr Reade was unable to take these children this year, A huge thanks goes out to Mr Hamer and Mrs Moir who kindly stepped in to take the children to the conference. I would also like to extend my thanks to the Collier family for the use of their van to transport our leaders. Your kindness and generosity is part of the overall success of this great school. Thankyou!!
